Communication channel
This channel is open to SERMIMEX personnel, former personnel, suppliers and contractors, and the communities where the company operates. Use it to report misconduct or to leave a suggestion.
How it works
1
You decide whether to give your name. You may report anonymously, confidentially (you give your name and only the recipient knows it), or openly.
2
When you submit, you receive a case number and a password. No email or phone number is requested: that case number and its password are the only way back in, so keep them.
3
You can talk without identifying yourself. If a detail is needed to investigate, the question is left in your case and you answer there. Nobody can see where you are writing from.
4
Reports are handled in four stages: received, assessment, investigation and closure. The stage is shown in your case.
What belongs in this channel
- Theft or diversion of goods, materials or fuel
- Bribery or improper payment
- Harassment (workplace or sexual)
- Workplace violence, mistreatment or threats
- Discrimination
- Safety risk or unsafe condition that was concealed
- Environmental damage or risk
- Conflict of interest in purchasing or hiring

- Alcohol or drugs during operations
- Improper treatment of suppliers or contractors
- Retaliation against someone who reported before
- Any other conduct contrary to the law, to the contract or to workplace ethics.
What does NOT belong here
- Emergencies. An accident, fire, collapse or injured person is not reported here: call 911 and the site supervisor.
- Routine HR matters. Vacation, payslips, permits, loans or payroll questions go to Human Resources.
- Personal disputes unrelated to operations or to company rules.
- Sales offers. If you are a supplier offering a product or service, use the suppliers section of the website.
About retaliation
Filing a report in good faith is not grounds for sanction, deduction, reassignment or dismissal, nor for cancelling or penalising a supplier contract.
If someone treats you differently because you reported, report that through this same channel and it will be handled as a new case: the catalogue lists it as “retaliation against someone who reported before”.
What can be said about anonymity, and what cannot
What this system does, and it can be verified:
- It does not ask for your name, email, phone number or employee number unless you choose to give them.
- It does not store your IP address or the device you are writing from.
- It uses no cookies and loads nothing from other servers: no third party learns that you visited.
- Photos you upload are stripped of hidden data (GPS location, time and phone model) before being stored.
- Report content is stored encrypted.
What depends on you: if your account includes something only you could have seen, whoever reads it might infer who you are. And if you upload a document, check that it does not carry your name inside.
